My name is Nina Hammarström, I am the founder of AthletEQ. It is very nice to have you here!
As a competitive show jumper at GP level, young horse trainer and lifelong equestrian, I bring a wealth of experience to the table. I have double masters in economics, I have multiple certifications in personal training with additional biomechanics training. I am a certified nutritionist for both horses and humans. I have expertise in sports such as boxing, pilates, yoga, tennis, triathlon (Ironwoman), and crossfit.
Why does this diverse experience matter to You in Your riding? Because it enables me to pinpoint exactly what we should focus on to enhance your training and make you a stronger rider! These sports share core elements like balance, coordination, symmetry, mobility, and strength, which are crucial for equestrians. This extensive knowledge forms the foundation of AthletEQ.
My unique approach involves working closely with you and, in some cases, your trainers, to identify your strengths and weaknesses in the saddle. I also consider the training methods you enjoy and those that fit best into your daily life. The goal is to optimize; making your training as efficient as possible, creating sustainable habits that maximize your time in the saddle and free up more time for what you love. Essentially, we all struggle with time and can’t afford to waste it…
My training exercises, nutrition plans, and routines are designed to help you get the most out of each day, improve your riding skills, increase your energy, and focus on what truly matters. By becoming better riders, we not only enhance our performance but also reduce the strain on our horses. The truth is, the better we are in terms of balance, coordination, and connection, the less wear and tear on our horses. And who can we influence more easily: ourselves or our horses? You guessed it, ourselves!
I also integrate mental training and stress management when needed, always considering your lifestyle, your companions, and your goals. The aim is to create long-term synergy and harmony so you can get more out of each day and become a better rider. Why do I prefer working closely with individuals rather than creating generic programs for the masses? The answer is simple: because I am genuinely, passionately driven by YOUR development and success!
